Ja’Leel Stephens, a 19-year-old from Fayetteville, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on June 10, 2021, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Willoughby Lane, where police responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found Stephens and another victim, 21-year-old Kanon Cook Melvin, critically injured. Both individuals succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
