In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Columbia, South Carolina, a discovery was made that would leave a family grieving and a community searching for answers. On June 13, 2021, 26-year-old DaQuan L. Davis was found deceased in his vehicle in a parking lot on Longcreek Drive. The young man had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his upper body, and his car was riddled with bullet holes, a silent testament to the violence that had unfolded.
