In the summer of 2021, the life of Tommy Emmaus Anderson Jr., a 24-year-old man from the Taylors area of Greenville County, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. On July 21, 2021, his body was discovered outside of a vacant mobile home on East Pine Lake Circle. An investigation by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office determined that Anderson had died from a gunshot wound.
About two weeks after the discovery of Anderson's body, authorities announced the arrests of two teenagers in
connection with his death. Marco Hernandez and Sasha Santos, both 19 years old at the time, were taken into custody and charged with murder. Investigators stated that evidence gathered during their inquiry led them to the two suspects.
Further investigation into Hernandez and Santos revealed their alleged involvement in a series of robbery cases, adding another layer to the circumstances surrounding Anderson's death. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office indicated that the evidence connected the pair to these additional criminal activities.
Tommy Emmaus Anderson Jr. was born on December 15, 1996, in Easley, South Carolina. He was a forklift operator and a graduate of Wade Hampton High School. His family and friends remembered him through a memorial service held on August 12, 2021, where they gathered to honor his memory. He was survived by his mother, brothers, sisters, and grandparents.
