In the quiet, early moments of August 18, 2021, a deadly ambush shattered the peace of a Lyman, South Carolina neighborhood. Connor Ethan Lloyd, a 29-year-old White male and U.S. Army veteran, was fatally shot in the driveway of his Grover Drive home. Just after midnight, officers responded to a shooting call and discovered Lloyd lying in his driveway with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
