Gerald Denard Knightner, a 33-year-old Black male, was a man known for his vibrant personality and his love for grilling. Friends and family affectionately called him 'G-Man,' and he was described as the life of the party, always ready with a joke and a dance.
A devoted father and a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Knightner worked in construction in the Columbia metropolitan area.
On October 9, 2021, the lively spirit of Gerald Knightner was extinguished. The incident that led to his death unfolded at a used car lot located at 4234 West Beltline Boulevard. According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, an argument between Knightner and an acquaintance escalated to a fatal conclusion.
