In a tragic turn of events stemming from an ongoing dispute, 26-year-old Jordan Scott Cirillo, a male resident of Greenville, South Carolina, lost his life in a shootout. The fatal encounter occurred on November 13, 2021, on Nichol Street in Greenville. Authorities who responded to reports of gunfire shortly before noon found Cirillo deceased at the scene from gunshot wounds.
The investigation into the shooting led police to Wakeim Devonte Dillard of Easley, who was also discovered at
the scene with a gunshot wound. Dillard was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Based on their investigation and statements from witnesses, Greenville Police determined that Dillard had gone to the Nichol Street location to confront Cirillo about their dispute, which escalated into an exchange of gunfire.
Following his release from the hospital, Wakeim Devonte Dillard was arrested and charged with the murder of Jordan Scott Cirillo. He was subsequently booked into the Greenville County Detention Center, where he was held without bond. The case then moved into the judicial system for prosecution.
