On a late spring evening in Williston, South Carolina, the life of William Henry Dunbar, a 29-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On May 29, 2022, police responded to a call at a residence on Marie Street and discovered Dunbar near the front door, lying in a pool of blood. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and despite the efforts of Barnwell County EMS, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Two female acquaintances were present when authorities arrived.
