Megan Leigh Rich, a 41-year-old resident of Summerville, South Carolina, was reported missing on August 12, 2022. Her body was discovered on August 19, 2022, in the marshes off Clark Sound Bay on James Island. The Charleston County Coroner's Office confirmed that she had been murdered, with an autopsy revealing that she died from a gunshot wound.
