Norvelle Brown, a 22-year-old officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, tragically lost his life on August 15, 2007. Officer Brown was ambushed and shot while patrolling near Sherman Park in North St. Louis. The incident occurred around 9:45 PM when Brown, who was working alone, radioed that he had been shot.
