Fay Besaw, aged 77, tragically died on July 3, 2014, in her home near Nevada, Missouri. Her death was part of a harrowing incident that also claimed the lives of her two sons, Charles and Harold Besaw. The Vernon County Sheriff's Office identified the event as a double murder-suicide. According to Sheriff Jason Mosher, Charles Besaw, who lived with his mother, fatally shot Fay and his brother Harold, who was visiting from California, before taking his own life.
