In the late hours of a summer evening in Saint-Louis, Missouri, the life of 19-year-old Nicholas Plott was tragically cut short. On August 5, 2014, just before 10 p.m., gunshots echoed through the Mark Twain neighborhood. Officers who arrived at the scene discovered the young man's body lying in an alley off the 5400 block of North Kingshighway, near Harney Avenue. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
