William R. Whelan Jr., a 30-year-old resident of Harrisonville, Missouri, tragically lost his life on February 22, 2015. The incident occurred during a disturbance at a home located in the 24000 block of East 275th Street in Cass County. According to reports, Whelan was involved in an altercation with another resident of the home, Peter T. Barbookles, aged 65. Witnesses stated that Whelan had assaulted Barbookles and another individual before Barbookles shot him, resulting in Whelan's death.
