In the spring of 2015, a life was tragically cut short in St. Louis, Missouri. A 26-year-old man named Michael Jackson Jr. became another victim of the city's gun violence on April 24, 2015. The male victim, who was experiencing homelessness at the time, was in a parking lot near the bustling City Museum in the middle of the afternoon when a dispute took a fatal turn.
Witnesses reported that an argument between Jackson and another individual escalated into a physical fight.
In an attempt to escape the confrontation, Jackson tried to flee. However, his attempt was cut short when his assailant pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest. The single gunshot proved to be fatal, and Michael Jackson Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene, near the intersection of 14th and Lucas Streets. The area was particularly crowded that day due to a large event at the nearby America's Center, which brought many people into the vicinity.
In the immediate aftermath, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. Detectives were able to gather valuable information from witnesses at the scene. They were looking for a Black male with a thin build, standing approximately 5'10" tall with long braids.
