On the morning of February 13, 2017, tragedy struck a residence on Cardinal Ridge Court in Shrewsbury, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Inside the home, 41-year-old Kenna Fletcher Daly was fatally shot during a domestic incident that unfolded just before 7:00 a.m. Authorities responded to the scene where they discovered Kenna suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment but ultimately succumbed to her injuries later that day.
The investigation by the St. Louis County Police Department quickly identified the perpetrator as her husband, 45-year-old Christopher Daly. Police determined that Christopher had shot Kenna inside their home before turning the weapon on himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Law enforcement officials officially classified the case as a murder-suicide, noting that a firearm was recovered near his body.
