In the winter of 2007, the life of a 36-year-old African American woman, Monica L. Motley, was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana. On January 22, 2007, Motley was found deceased at a residence located at 2226 Bellefontaine Street. Her death was determined to be a homicide, a violent end to a life that left a community in shock and a family searching for answers.
