In the cold of a late January evening in Saint Louis, Missouri, the life of Antonio Webb, a 45-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On January 20, 2018, at approximately 11:00 PM, officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 5400 block of Kingshighway. There, in the street near the Bellefontaine Cemetery on the city's north side, they found Mr. Webb suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into Antonio Webb's death was swift to classify the case as a homicide. The cause of his death was determined to be a gunshot wound. Despite the ongoing investigation by homicide detectives, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
