In March of 2018, in the town of Malden, Missouri, a verbal altercation between two men escalated to a fatal conclusion. Geoffrey Wright, a 46-year-old man, was shot multiple times by David Anderson following a heated conversation. The incident cut short the life of Mr. Wright, who was a father and grandfather.

An eyewitness to the shooting informed law enforcement that Anderson had approached Wright, and their brief discussion quickly turned volatile, leading Anderson to produce a weapon ...
