Shawnee Staten, a 19-year-old resident of Saint Louis, Missouri, tragically lost her life on April 29, 2018. The incident occurred in her apartment in north St. Louis County, where she was fatally shot in the face while holding her two-month-old daughter. The suspect, Christian Beemer, an 18-year-old from Spanish Lake, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with her death.
