Tasheika Baker, a 41-year-old woman from Lee's Summit, Missouri, tragically lost her life on August 16, 2018. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. along the ramp to westbound I-470 near View High Drive. Witnesses reported seeing a man and woman arguing inside a stopped vehicle before the man shot the woman, possibly three times. By the time Kansas City police arrived, Lee's Summit officers and firefighters had already transported Baker to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
