On the evening of August 16, 2018, a tragedy unfolded on a highway ramp in Missouri that ended the life of 41-year-old Tasheika Baker of Lee's Summit. A Black female, Baker was discovered with gunshot wounds on the ramp leading from View High Drive to westbound Interstate 470. The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m., a time when the night was shattered by violence.
