On the afternoon of October 2, 2018, police in St. Louis, Missouri, were called to the Benton Park neighborhood following reports of gunfire. Officers arrived at the 1900 block of Congress Street shortly before 6:00 p.m., where they discovered a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man, identified as 38-year-old Richard MacDonald, was found lying in the street. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
