On the night of February 18, 2019, violence erupted in Sikeston, Missouri, claiming the life of 24-year-old Marcus Allen Dixon Jr. It was around 11:30 p.m. when Dixon, a male resident of the area, was targeted and fatally shot. The incident occurred late in the evening, leaving the community and his family, including his young son and siblings, to mourn the sudden loss of a man described as a laid-back and protective father and brother.
