Jared A. Wathen, age 27, was shot and killed on December 8, 2010, on the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred in the 3200 block of Elmhurst Drive. According to police reports, Jared lived next door to the location of the shooting and appeared to have gone to his neighbor's home seeking help after being shot. When officers arrived at the scene around 6:37 PM, they found Wathen suffering from a gunshot wound, and despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
