On the night of January 24, 2021, authorities in St. Louis, Missouri, responded to a fatal shooting incident in the Columbus Square neighborhood. Just before midnight, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Carr Street, situated north of the city’s downtown area. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near the entrance of a residential building.
The scene was extensive, with investigators marking more than 40 pieces of evidence on the road and near several parked vehicles.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Khari Jalil Wilson. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department opened a homicide investigation immediately following the discovery.
