On a summer morning in 2021, the life of 27-year-old Jamez LaQuan Prewitt was cut short. The young man was fatally shot around 8 a.m. on June 27th at the Park Ridge Apartments complex located in the 1300 block of Sharondale Circle in Ferguson, Missouri. When Ferguson police responded to a 911 call about the shooting, they found Prewitt suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to an area hospital, but tragically, he was pronounced dead.
