In the early morning hours of Monday, October 25, 2021, the body of 49-year-old Kelly Terrell Collier was discovered in the Mark Twain neighborhood of St. Louis. Collier, a male who police identified as homeless, was found just inside the entrance of an apartment building located in the 4900 block of Rosalie Street. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The discovery was made at approximately 12:30 a.m.
Collier's death was one of at least three separate fatal shootings that occurred in St. Louis on that day.
As of initial reports, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting, and police had not released any information about a potential suspect or suspects. The investigation into the homicide is ongoing. Funeral services for Kelly Terrell Collier were held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the True Gospel Miracle Temple, followed by interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
