I came across Latefa Baker's case recently, and it just left me feeling so unsettled. It's unfathomable to think about the suddenness of such a tragedy. It makes me wish there was more public effort to keep attention on unsolved cases like this. Perhaps it would help if local communities organized regular events or vigils until there are significant developments. Influencing the public memory can sometimes help law enforcement by making these cases less likely to go cold. I hope whoever is responsible is found and that Latefa’s loved ones can find some peace.
