Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Julius Gleghorn in Spanish Lake? I can't stop thinking about the fact that the whole thing started at a gas station. It's terrifying to think that something as mundane as stopping for fuel could end so horribly. The randomness of it all really shakes me. What was going through Julius's mind when he realized he was being followed? Did he know any of the people in that car? I keep thinking about his family and friends. They sent him out that day, probably never even dreaming something like this would happen. And now they have to piece their lives back together without him. It's a cruel reminder of how quickly things can change and how senseless violence leaves scars on whole communities, not just the immediate victims. My thoughts are with all who knew and loved Julius, hoping they find some peace and justice for him.
