I can’t stop thinking about how much Rob meant to his community in Columbia. He seemed like one of those people who could light up a room just by walking into it. I heard he was an incredible baker and loved experimenting with sourdough bread—what a unique hobby. It’s just beyond comprehension how his life ended so abruptly and tragically. My heart goes out to his wife and children; they must be facing unimaginable pain, trying to navigate life without him. It's important for us to discuss and understand the issues that lead to these sorts of tragic family situations, to hopefully prevent them in the future. RIP Rob, you are missed by many.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Rob Hamilton's fascination with family ancestry and how much it must have meant to him. It’s incredibly sad that his life was cut short and that his passion for uncovering his family's history was halted. From what I’ve gathered, Rob was the type of person who loved connecting with his roots and sharing those stories with his loved ones. It’s yet another layer of tragedy that someone so invested in family ties met with such an unthinkable situation involving his own son. I truly hope his family can find some comfort in the cherished memories and stories Rob uncovered and brought into their lives. Maybe it’s those nuggets from the past that will help them navigate through this rough time. ?
