I just came across this case, and it's deeply unsettling to think about what Jerry McCulley Jr. and those close to him must have endured. It seems like he was just going about his own life when this horrific act was thrust upon him. Hearing how Spann allegedly forced another person to search Jerry's pockets just makes my skin crawl. I can't imagine the fear and helplessness everyone involved must have felt. It's so sad to think that gun violence is still such a pervasive problem in places like St. Louis. My heart genuinely goes out to Jerry’s friends and family. How devastating it must be to lose someone you're close to in such a violent way. I'm hoping the legal system will do right by them and bring some form of justice.
