Has anyone else been following the Aaron Tyrone Hunter Jr. case from Lafayette in 2015? I've been thinking a lot about how crucial eyewitness testimonies can be in cases like this. Given the timing of the incident at around 3:50 a.m., it's a wonder how investigators managed to piece together the events so quickly. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for Hunter and Smith's families to wait for answers in those first few hours. I read that the police found Jacob Guffey slumped over a wheel later that morning, which must have been such a pivotal moment in the investigation. It's a relief that justice was served, but there's a lingering sorrow for the family and friends who lost loved ones so suddenly and violently.
