I’ve been following the case of Theothus L. Carter, and my heart aches for his family, especially his mother, Talishia. One detail that really moves me is the voicemail he left right as everything was happening. I can’t help but think about how much courage it must have taken for him to try to communicate in those final moments. For his mother, receiving that message must have been incredibly painful yet, in a way, a precious final connection to her son. It's awful that the authorities have yet to find the person responsible; I'm hopeful that there will be a breakthrough soon so that his family can find some peace. It’s sad to see another bright young life lost to senseless violence. If anybody has any updates on how the family is doing or the ongoing investigation, please share.
