I recently came across this tragic case of Steven Wiggins and it just makes me reflect on how an argument can spiral into such a senseless tragedy. It’s sad to see how a night that should have been filled with celebration ended in such devastation. The fact that the argument escalated to this point despite other people being around is truly concerning. I can't help but wonder if there was a moment where things could have been de-escalated before it turned fatal. What really gets me is how these situations often involve bystanders who might feel helpless or unsure of how to intervene. It must be incredibly difficult for those who witnessed it to cope with what they saw. It's a sobering reminder to all of us about the impact gun violence can have not just on the victim and their family, but also on the community as a whole. Sending thoughts to Steven's family, who I’m sure are still trying to come to terms with this. I hope they find some measure of peace and justice as the case moves forward.
