I've been thinking a lot about the traffic camera footage from the morning Javon was murdered. It’s chilling to realize how technology played a role in piecing together the events leading up to the crime. It seems like those images were crucial in linking the borrowed Hyundai Sonata to the scene. I can’t imagine what Javon's family must feel knowing that his final moments were so closely monitored, yet they couldn’t prevent what happened. It kind of makes you wonder about the balance between surveillance and privacy, and how these technologies can be both protective and intrusive. I hope it helped bring some measure of justice to Javon’s family, even though it can’t replace the loss they’ve endured. Thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
