I was thinking about Isiah Williams today, and it got me reflecting on how deeply the ripple effects of violent crime impact a community. In particular, I wonder whether there has been any progress in terms of social programs or interventions in Indianapolis since 2016. It seems like more community-based efforts could make a big difference in curbing the violence we've seen over the years. Does anyone have any information on initiatives that might have emerged in response to the tragic events during that time, particularly any focused on supporting families and preventing similar senseless losses from happening again? My heart truly goes out to Isiah's friends and family. How they must have felt when learning how awful it was for him breaks my heart. Hoping they have found some measure of peace in the years since.
