I've been thinking a lot about Austin Charters and how the whole community is feeling such a void without him. I didn't know him personally, but being from a nearby area, the news really hit hard. From what I've read, he was so full of life, always active with sports and art, and it sounds like he had such a bright future. It's just so hard to imagine what his friends must be going through, knowing it was one of his close buddies involved in the accident. I can't even begin to fathom the weight on both families' shoulders. It's such a difficult topic, but I think it's important we talk about how easily these kinds of accidents can happen, especially when kids are involved. If any good can come from this tragedy, maybe it's that more people will open their eyes to the importance of gun safety. Rest in peace, Austin. Wishing strength and healing to everyone who knew him.
