I was reading about the tragic night in Indianapolis when Shawn Hicks Jr. was killed, and it got me thinking about the impact such losses have on the community. I also think about those living in the area — how can folks even feel safe in their own neighborhood when things like this happen? It’s vital for the community to rally around each other and support Shawn’s loved ones during this difficult time. Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Shawn Hicks Jr., and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It’s so tragic that someone with his whole life ahead of him was taken so suddenly. I've been thinking a lot about the lack of suspect information in this case. It’s been quite a while, and it feels like there’s just radio silence on who might be responsible. I wonder if this might be related to witness hesitation or fear of coming forward—something that's unfortunately common in many cases involving multiple shootings. The area east of 42nd Street and North Post Road is often busy, even late at night. There had to be more people around who may have seen or heard something significant, right? But then again, fear of retaliation is real, and it’s understandable why someone might be scared to speak up. I genuinely hope the investigators can encourage someone to come forward anonymously. Shawn’s family deserves to know what happened to their son, and the community needs a sense of safety restored.
