I’ve been following the Mia Harrison case closely, and something that’s been weighing on my mind is the courage it must have taken for Mia’s son to make it out alive and give his statement to the police. In situations as terrifying as this one, it’s hard to even imagine the strength one must have to provide crucial information that led to apprehending Boykin. While nothing can bring Mia and Bluego back, I hope the 107-year sentence handed to Boykin gives the family a sliver of peace. It’s also a sobering reminder of how gun violence can shatter lives in an instant. My heart goes out to the entire Harrison family during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️
