I've been thinking a lot about the Thomas case lately. It’s been two years since Janet and Larry’s deaths, and I keep coming back to the community's role in situations like this. It's really troubling that from the outside, nobody saw any warning signs that could lead to such a tragic end. I wonder if there were subtle cues or changes in behavior that neighbors, friends, or family might have dismissed as minor or out of character. It’s so often the case that we miss things because we don't want to pry or make assumptions, but maybe this is a call for all of us to be more observant and proactive in reaching out when something doesn’t feel right. My heart goes out to their relatives and friends, who must be grappling not only with the loss but also with so many unanswered questions. Just hoping this tragic event can push us all to discuss mental health and the silent struggles individuals might face. It's a heartbreaking reminder of how important it is to look out for one another and to ensure resources and support are available and accessible.
