Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Shamar Barnes and the courage his family has shown throughout this ordeal. There's something profoundly moving about how his life touched so many people. It's often said that someone’s legacy is best seen in the lives they've impacted, and from what I've read, Shamar was someone who truly involved himself in his community and school. It's remarkable to see how his involvement in activities like DECA and sports painted a picture of a young man with aspirations and dedication. It must have been incredibly difficult for his classmates and teachers who remember him walking the halls and participating so enthusiastically. The way his friends and family have been advocating for justice while grieving speaks volumes about the bond he held with them. I just hope that during these difficult times, they find some solace in knowing that his memory continues to inspire and bring people together. How are the communities around Elkhart holding up? I hope they feel supported, and I’m glad to see that justice seems to be on its way for Shamar. Sending thoughts to all those affected.
