I recently came across this case and can't stop thinking about how senseless it all is. Montell seemed to be a genuinely passionate person who had so much going for him, not to mention his dedication to his kids and family. I feel for his loved ones who lost not only a father and family member but also a friend who shared his love for wrestling, music, and cars with them. I found it deeply concerning that a disagreement escalated so drastically. It's unfortunate that the environment of that house party, meant to be a social gathering, became the backdrop for such a tragedy. I'm really hoping the attention this case has received will lead to discussions about how community and law enforcement can work together to create safer environments for young people. My thoughts are wholeheartedly with Montell's family as they navigate life without him.
