Hey everyone, I've been following Bubba Koonce's case, and it's just so tragic what happened to him. I know there's talk about the lack of arrests, but what really gets me is thinking about the day he was supposed to start his new job just a week after the shooting. I can’t help but wonder if things would've been different if his schedule had changed, or if he wasn’t in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's a chilling reminder of how precious life is and how quickly it can be taken away. I can’t imagine how his family must feel, waiting for answers and trying to piece life back together while dealing with such a huge loss. Frank seemed like the kind of guy who brought light into every room he entered, and it’s so unfair that his future was stolen from him. The community's response with the fundraiser shows how much love there is for him, but it's infuriating that they're still left in the dark about who did this. Anyone else have thoughts on how cases like this seem to hit a dead end? It feels like there's always a flash of media attention, and then things get so quiet. Hoping justice will be served sooner rather than later. Stay safe out there, folks, and keep Bubba and his family in your thoughts.?

I'm truly saddened to hear about Frank, known fondly as "Bubba," and my heart goes out to his family and everyone who knew him. As someone close to Frank's age, this really hits hard. I've been trying to follow any updates on his case. Has anyone else noticed the lack of details about the vehicle involved? You’d think with something like a drive-by, there might be surveillance footage or witness descriptions tied to the make or model of the car. I'm sure HPD is working diligently, but it's frustrating how little we know. It’s commendable how the community has come together to support Bubba’s family in this trying time. The solidarity shown with the fundraiser is a testament to the love surrounding him. If anyone learns anything new regarding potential leads, please keep the thread updated. Bubba and his family deserve answers and justice.

Has anyone else been following the case of Frank "Bubba" Koonce Jr., the young man from Hammond who was killed in that awful drive-by shooting last year? I've been digging through news articles and online updates to keep up with the investigation. It's so frustrating to see a family in so much pain without any concrete leads from the police. I’ve heard from a few locals that there's been talk about launching more community patrols or even setting up neighborhood watch programs to help keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. It’s really inspiring to see how much his community cares for him. Frank seems to have been such a genuine and warm person, always smiling, and it’s awful to think someone like that can just be taken away. I'm hoping they find answers soon. Anyone else from the area feel the same?
