I can't stop thinking about the sheer resilience of Devante's family throughout this ordeal. I mean, not only did they have to face the unimaginable loss of Devante, but they also had to endure the drawn-out trial process, watching as the person responsible tried to maneuver the system without a lawyer. It must have been incredibly difficult to hear the details of the incident replayed in court, knowing that Devante's life was cut short over something so senseless. It's a sobering reminder of how quickly things can spiral out of control and the far-reaching impact it can have on loved ones left behind. My heart goes out to all of them as they try to find some semblance of peace and healing.
