Has anyone else looked into the possibility that Charles and Catherine Romer's disappearance might be linked to someone at that Holiday Inn? I recently came across a theory that got me thinking. It's not just about what happened after they checked in; maybe something was off within the hotel itself. Could a staff member or another guest have noticed those custom New York plates and seen an opportunity? I've read cases where guests fall prey to crimes right within the hotels they stay in. With those custom plates, the Romers could have been targeted for any number of reasons. Has anyone explored the hotel’s visitor logs or employee records from that time? It might be a long shot, but you never know with these old cases. Thoughts?

Has anyone looked into the possibility of the Romers stumbling upon something they weren't supposed to see during their trip? I know it's a bit of a wild theory, but it’s been nagging at me. Considering they were traveling through several states, there's always the chance they might have overheard or witnessed something that put them at risk. I know there's no concrete evidence pointing in this direction, but given the fact that their car was never found and their belongings were all left behind, it makes me wonder if it’s a plausible scenario. The timeline and the abruptness of their disappearance are so puzzling. Anyone else think there might be more to this angle?

Has anyone else considered the importance of the last diary entry made by Charles before he vanished? Given that he was known for meticulously documenting their travels, the gap between the final journal entry on April 7 and their disappearance on April 8 is intriguing. It's almost as if something interrupted his usual routine. Was there anything unusual in that last entry? Could it hint at meeting someone or stopping somewhere unexpected en route to New York? I wonder if investigators ever did a thorough analysis of the handwriting for any signs of stress or if they looked at possible places mentioned in that diary entry. Sometimes these little details can provide the biggest clues. Thoughts?
