Just came across this case and I'm truly amazed by how intricate the whole thing is. It’s really baffling to me how Eddie Makdessi almost got away with his version of events. The presence of that videotape made by Elise before she passed is just chilling. I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for her to live in such fear that she felt the need to record something like that. It's really troubling to think about how someone can manipulate a narrative so convincingly. It makes you wonder about all those times where the truth might not have come to light in other similar situations. We're lucky that investigators were thorough enough to dig deeper. Sending my deepest sympathies to Quincy’s family and all those affected. They deserve closure and peace, knowing that justice was finally served. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how common it is for perpetrators to try and blend truth with lies.

Wow, this case is such a tangled web. I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the details. Something that's been on my mind is the role that videotape played in unraveling the truth. It's terrifying to think about the fear Elise must have felt recording that message. The fact she foresaw danger from Eddie and felt the need to document it is chilling. It's so sad that her voice was silenced, but her bravery to leave behind a clue speaks volumes. It begs the question: how often are cries for help overlooked until it's too late? My heart goes out to the families of both Elise and Quincy. Has anyone come across any similar cases where crucial evidence like this was pivotal? How do they ensure these warnings aren't ignored in future investigations?
