I've been thinking a lot about Jake Carey and what he endured that night. It's unimaginable to wake up to such a violent scene, and then to be shot yourself while trying to grasp what's happening. It's been a long journey, but his bravery in those terrifying moments ultimately helped law enforcement make those crucial arrests. His courage not only aided the investigation but also brought some comfort to Chris's family, knowing justice might finally be served. I hope Jake receives all the support he needs to heal from this traumatic event. It's a stark reminder of how random and senseless these acts of violence can be, affecting so many lives in ways we can't fully understand. If anyone knows more about Jake’s current situation or how he's doing, please share—I'm sure many of us are thinking of him and wishing him well.
