I've been thinking about the impact this tragic event must have had on the Atlantis Apartments community. Being so close to where Donte, or "Duke," tragically lost his life, I can't help but feel for the residents who were shaken by the violence right at their doorstep. It must be tough to reconcile the sense of safety in home spaces with such an unfortunate incident happening nearby. The stress and anxiety it brings to families living there, especially those with young children, is something that shouldn't be underestimated. Community support and counseling might be a good step to help everyone heal and move forward after such an event. I really hope the residents continue to support each other as they process this loss and develop ways to feel safer at home. My thoughts are with them, Dutch's family, and everyone affected by this tragedy.
