Hey everyone, I've been following Amiya Moses's case and wanted to share something that's been on my mind. It's honestly so infuriating how senseless violence impacts innocent lives. I keep thinking about the neighborhood dispute that led to Amiya’s untimely death. It’s just so frustrating that an innocent child was caught up in something that had nothing to do with her. It's a wake-up call for all of us to reflect on the underlying issues in communities that fuel such disputes.
Amiya’s mom, Kele, is doing incredible work advocating for change, and I really admire her strength in the face of such a profound loss. I wonder what more can be done collectively to address these conflicts before they escalate. How do we push for better community resources or intervention programs? It's clear that change is needed, not just in this neighborhood but everywhere. Love and thoughts still go out to everyone who knew and loved Amiya. No family should have to endure this kind of pain. ?
It’s utterly devastating what happened to Amiya Moses. I can’t imagine the pain her family and friends must be enduring. What I find particularly chilling is that such a bright and promising life was cut short just weeks after her birthday. I read about the vigils and gatherings organized by the community in Amiya's memory, and it’s so moving to see people coming together to honor her and advocate for change.
I want to express my deepest sympathies to Amiya’s mother, Kele Wright, and applaud her courage and strength in encouraging the community to address the violence. It’s so important that the community rallies together to make sure no other family has to go through this kind of heartbreak again. The sentences given to those responsible are a step toward justice, but I truly hope it also sparks sustained discussions and actions to tackle the root causes of such violence in neighborhoods. Let's continue to support efforts focused on fostering a safer environment for everyone.
