I’ve been thinking a lot about the role surveillance footage plays in cases like Dante Lewis’s. It's hard to imagine how different this case might have turned out if those camera angles weren't available or enhanced to cast doubt on the original suspect, Davon Richardson. It raises some crucial questions about how evidence can shift the narrative so drastically. It's unsettling to know that someone was possibly wrongfully accused and spent over a year in jail. I feel for Dante’s family, who must be torn apart by the delays in finding the real perpetrator. At the same time, I can't help but think about how these developments might have impacted Davon’s life and his family too. I just hope the detectives continue to pursue every lead until they find the true shooter. Dante deserves justice, and his family deserves closure. Have any locals here noticed increased police presence or ongoing investigations in the area recently?
