I’ve been following the case of Lakim L. Booker, and I keep thinking about the ripple effects tragedies like this have on the community. It’s absolutely gut-wrenching to know that his son, La'Khi, will grow up without his father. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain and hardships Booker's family is dealing with. It’s crucial that we continue to support initiatives against gun violence and work together to prevent more families from going through such heartbreak. On a positive note, seeing the community step up during the investigation was incredibly moving, and it really demonstrated the power of coming together in the face of adversity. Thinking of all of them today and hoping for healing and strength for everyone affected.
