I am so proud of the witness that was willing to testify to what she saw. I know in cases like these it is very scary and can be dangerous to do so.

I just can't stop thinking about Amir and how his case ended up. It's so frustrating and devastating for his family, especially with the lack of cooperation from key witnesses. I mean, I get that people are scared or just don't want to get involved, but it feels like Amir is the one who's really paying the price here.
And it's confusing to hear about how the girl recognized the shooter from something like a jacket and social media, and yet her testimony still couldn't hold up in court. It's like the small details were there but not enough to build a solid case. Why do you think the witnesses backed out? Was it fear or just media pressure that got to them? I can't imagine how difficult it must be for Amir’s family seeing all this unfold and feeling like they’re stuck without any real closure or justice for Amir.
I've been following Amir Dermoumi's case, and I can't imagine the pain his family and friends must be feeling. One thing that stands out to me is how crucial witness testimonies are in trials like these. It's frustrating and sad to see that witnesses are often reluctant to testify, which seems to have been a major issue here. The fact that a key witness had such a change in cooperation really affected the outcome so far. It's a stark reminder of how justice can be elusive, especially when fear and intimidation are involved. I hope those who knew and loved Amir find some peace and that the truth eventually comes to light for his sake. How can we better support witnesses in cases like these to ensure they feel safe enough to come forward?
Has anyone else been frustrated by the lack of progress in the Amir Dermoumi case? It's so sad to think about his family not getting the justice they deserve after such a terrible loss.
I recently read about the witnesses backing out, and it's just devastating. It must be terrifying for them, but it also feels like the system is failing Amir. The fact that the main witness refused to cooperate further says a lot about the fear or pressure they might be experiencing. And then there's the person in the car with Amir who didn't testify—does anyone else wonder if they knew more than they're willing to share?
I feel for Amir's loved ones who are left waiting for answers. How do we support witnesses so they feel safe enough to come forward? This case is a sad example of how justice can remain elusive when people are too scared to speak up. Any thoughts on what could be done differently in cases like this?
